I am happy to say that I finished my February UFO. Horray!! I am 2 for 2 -- 2 months 2 finishes. This quilt will now move to the "needs quilted" list.

Winged Things
#6 was the number drawn for the UFO challenge this month. "Winged Things" was my #6 and WaaLaa, I cannot believe I finished it. My goal was just the top but I got the borders done too. I am going to attempt to quilt it this month also, but I have to be realistic about my time.
This quilt was born in 2003 when I asked fellow round robin participants to make me a "winged thing". I sent it around again in 2004 to get more blocks. I LOVE IT!
If you look closely you will find birds, angels, humming birds, lady bugs, dragon flies, butterflies, a baby chick, and bees. The workmanship of many talented needle-turn appliquers is my favorite part.

Granny Went Star Crazy
Hooray!! Now I don't have to add "Granny Went Star Crazy" to my UFOs for 2011 because IT IS FINISHED! I even made the binding and have enough fabric left over for the back.

My original "Hexagons in Rotation"
This was the original "Hexagons in Rotation" quilt I designed in the early 2000s. Here it sits with the basting threads (red of all colors) still holding it together. The problem is that I quilted it so heavily that it will really take some time to finish it in the same manner I started it. Also, this was probably one of the first quilts I ever attempted to machine quilt and I've improved so much. I intend to give this one to my Aunt Dana as a gift. She loves blue.
Jim's Levi Quilt
My husband made this denim quilt all on his own one weekend while I was off to a quilting retreat. He jokingly said he wanted to see if it was possible to take care of kids, quilt, and keep a clean house all at once. He did a wonderful job! I just need to get it tied and bound for him.
